Make the money move…

During a normal Spread Calculation, Hidden and Overhead items included in a project are spread over all contributing direct cost items proportionally. In some cases, however, you may want to specify where these costs are spread to ensure they are distributed to relevant items.

In these scenarios, you can use the Spread Allocations to define where the value of these items will be spread.

The Spread Allocations window provides you with the ability to:

• Directly allocate the value of a Hidden or Overhead Item to certain Direct Cost Items
• Set how the cost of allocated Hidden or Overhead Items are distributed across the Direct Cost Items.

The contextual ribbon menu at the top of the window displays all the available functions within the Spread Allocations window.

The main grid displays a list of all your Hidden and Overhead Cost items that can be directly allocated. When the Spread Allocations window is opened, all hidden and overhead items included in the project will be displayed in separate sections.

Note: A Project Message will be raised if a Direct Cost item that has a Spread Allocation and a Nomination applied. The allocation will be ignored, and the nomination will take priority.
