Two of Pronamics’ clients have teamed up to form the Mitchell Extension Joint Venture. BMD Construction and Georgiou Group will be delivering three separate construction projects designed to reduce congestion to and from Perth’s rapidly growing northern suburbs.
I could go on about the specifics of the work—the roads that are being extended, duplicated and improved—but at the end of the day, it’s how this work will affect the people of Perth that matters.
Jobs
Government stimulus in the time of COVID means infrastructure funding from both a federal and state level. This project has promised jobs to people in a time of uncertainty.
Accessibility
Joondalup and surrounding suburbs are exploding. The northern suburbs of Perth are expanding and becoming more densely populated at an astonishing rate. This means to get to work, to get to the airport and for city-siders escaping north to Yanchep, travel along this corridor will be much faster once the work is completed.
Connection
It’s more than the physical connection of road. It’s what getting somewhere faster and more safely means to families and friends. While Western Australia has not suffered as many lockdowns as the eastern states, it has still been uncertain times, and connection with the people around us is important.
